Our frozen vegetables are prepared immediately after the harvest to preserve their colour, texture, taste and vitamins. They are washed, sorted, cut, often blanched and then frozen, all within a few hours of being harvested. Once frozen, the vegetable is as if in "hibernation", the intense cold does not destroy the vitamins. The vegetable is therefore preserved ad integrum. Their nutritional intake is often higher than that of vegetables sold fresh. In fact, vegetables begin to lose their nutrients immediately after harvesting. This is particularly the case with peas, which can lose half their vitamin C content within one or two days (even before cooking).
- Our vegetables, herbs, fruits and mushrooms are harvested at the peak of their ripeness and then frozen to guarantee consistent quality throughout the year.
