The seed is the starting point for growing a vegetable. Pasfrost chooses the best farmers, all certified Vegaplan, and excludes genetically modified seeds. In order to meet the requirements of food safety, traceability, quality, and sustainability, the crops are carefully monitored by the agronomy department consisting of 3 expert staff.
One of Pasfrost’s main strengths is the proximity between the crops and the factory. There is only a very short time between harvesting and storage. In this way, the natural nutritional qualities of the vegetables are preserved to the greatest possible extent. In order to guarantee the freshness of the products, the vegetables are packed in the shortest possible time.
Day and night, technicians test frozen vegetables by taking samples in their 200 m² analysis laboratory.
Thanks to the strict quality and hygiene regulations, the Pasfrost production site is certified BRC grade AA and IFS at the highest level.
Pasfrost is committed to respecting the environment. In order to reduce its environmental impact, the production site uses a modern water purification method that allows us to use 60% of the wastewater.
Periodic energy audits are carried out to reduce CO2 emissions. To this end, Pasfrost has installed 13,700 photovoltaic panels on the roofs of its production site to prevent the emission of 1,850 tonnes of CO2 per year.
