Red fruits
Strawberries, with their sweet flavor and juicy texture, are harvested from May to July. Cherries, appreciated for their sweet, slightly tart taste, are available from June to July and often come from France, Spain, Italy, Poland and Morocco. Raspberries, small and delicate, are harvested from June to September in regions such as Rhône-Alpes and Bretagne in France, as well as in Poland and Serbia. Blackberries, available from July to September, are mainly grown in Brittany, south-west France, the UK and Serbia. These fruits are perfect for frozen desserts, smoothies or as a garnish for sweet dishes.
Stone fruits
Apricots, with their sweet, slightly tart flesh, are harvested from June to August, mainly in the Languedoc-Roussillon and Rhône-Alpes regions, as well as in Spain and Turkey. They are excellent for jams, tarts and compotes, and can be used to add a sweet flavor to a variety of dishes.
